This is me...

I began my LV career in 2008 with a full three month training programme – Tim and Jez were keen that I understood the company ethos and so I started with server training..... not a great success... it would be fair to say that Sarah Peet has had better days! I went on to do host and BDM training culminating in GM follows before starting my new role as Group Business Development Manager. I travel around the estate each month attending Business Development Meetings, where the whole management team discuss the marketing of their unit, marketing and PR are very much everyday behaviour at LV and it is my job to develop and maintain this from the ground.  We have developed a unique way to run business development, our philosophy is that "if you can't measure it you can't manage it" and this pretty much sums up the responsibilities of my role!

This is what I've done...

I moved from Yorkshire to Manchester in 1989 to go to Manchester Polytechnic as it was then – I studied Printing and Graphic Design History – whilst working part time at Sunset Radio. I started working life proper (?) at Mondiale Publishing – seeing the business grow from 6 of us to over 100 at one time – I was kept interested and motivated by being encouraged to eat, drink, dance and sleep all in the name of work and being given the opportunity to work on great projects including organising the BEDA Awards, Theme Awards and TP Awards, from the nomination and judging process right through to selling tickets and creating the AV.  In 1999 I was instrumental in setting up the most comprehensive research programme the industry had ever seen in the form of Centro – focussed on the licensed trade which attracts an 18-35 year old customer base, the development of Centro led to a partnership with CGA – forming CGA Strategy of which I was a founding Director.

After fourteen years I decided to try my hand at something new and left Mondiale – supposedly to have some time off, travel and then come back and have a career change.... I have always had a passion for restaurants and bars.... so wanted to see the other side!

This is what I'm all about...

I live in Manchester which is perfect for me -  bars, restaurants, galleries, gigs and shops – all on my doorstep and then the amazing Peak District half an hour away in which to disappear either on foot, two wheels or four legs!
